Never Satisfied's 2005 ES
The vortex generator actually works but disrupting the air flow (creates a hair more drag) in order to cause it to flow down the back window instead of flowing smoothly with the line of the roof and missing the trunk altogether.
***Update*** Tint & Exhaust 7-7-07
Finally got a chance to upload some new pics.
Window Tint

Exhaust

Just a muffler for now, but I will soon be changing out to a full exhaust.

Thanks to all who have posted their thoughts...
Although I am starting to get slightly worried as to why there have not been more posts. 593 views, and only 18 replies (most of which are mine).
Just looking for thoughts and opinions, good or bad. But, if you do have negative things to say, please do so in a constructive manner.
Also, if you have any questions about things, I will try my best to answer them, since I have done 95% of the work myself.
It's looking like I will have a fairly full week ahead of me with some plans I have. Hopefully I will be able to get it all finished and get an update posted.

I actually have thought about painting it gunmetal. But, at the same time, it would kill the look of the billet.
Just finished up my projects for the week. Hopefully I will get pictures up soon.

I think it is more of an "It doesn't look like an Evo, so I don't like it... but if it did look like an Evo I would ***** too". At least that is what I take from his other post.
I'll say this right now though... I knew before I even bought the grill that 90% of the people on here wouldn't like it. I told everybody that I would catch hell for it, but I like the look, so on it goes.
Didn't get a chance to take any new pics this weekend, but I do have some new stuff done. Painted interior trim pieces to match exterior, and modified my mounting brackets to set the dvd player further back in the dash when it's closed.
Hopefully I can next weekend... and I may even have a surprise in the form of an ex-Nopi bikini model to pose in some of the shots. I have to see what I can work out.

Ok, here's the update, as promised (well, almost)
Didn't get a chance to do a full shoot with the model and all. Time was not on my side this week.
Here is the interior stuff though.
The paint on these trim pieces has to be seen and felt to be fully apreciated. But, I think pictures will give you the general idea.

And the remounted DVD player. Alot of you may not notice the difference, but when compared to the original mounting position (and the mounting position of most DVD monitor systems) it only sits half as far out of the dash when closed. This helps to give it a cleaner look and makes it less noticable to people that you don't want to know it's there.

In this project, the objective is not to do alot of work just to have it done, but to pay attention to detail in every aspect.

lol I know that this is a lancer forum and that the evo is based on the lancer and all that jive but posting on this board when all you have is a relativly stock lancer is just asking for it. Almost everyone on this forum is going to be mainly focused on performance. Take a look at the post counts in each section and you will see what I mean.
Nicely put here is what I think about your car:
I can appreciate the efforts you have put into your car, and the fact that its kept simple and clean...
BUT, I think your waisting your time imo. Your car will NEVER be something thats looked very highly upon by the tunner/import/car community, thats not to say that you wont find a few poeple that think your car is nice cause you will. Just that you can find something nicer on just about every corner thats all. If your stuck on modding a lancer and are willing to post it to see the reation you will get you might be better off posting on a board that will be more forgiving, like a tuner/import board or maybe something thats focused on stereo stuff ect. What I would consider doing if I was you is to sell it and get something a little more main stream with better potential. Like a 240sx or something.

I liked it because it was low profile. It went on pretty much the same way that the big ones do, just took abit longer to position properly. Once I get my spoiler, it should look pretty cool.
But, I guess I should also note that I am not planning to get a Ralliart or Evo style spoiler.

Yeah...my ES has the same brushed metal finish on the console. I like the way it looks. Pretty sleek for stock if you ask me. Also, could you give the specs on the shift knob and the short shifter...I might just want to add that to my ride.
