my 2008 gts with RRM intake

the filter is HUGE and the performance is very noticable especially at 4k-5k rpm when it really opens up! RRM

does it really drop a second from 0-60 like RRM claims? and do you think buying the SRI is worth it?

i don't know about that whole dropping a second thing...but the gain in performance and sound of the intake is amazing you can def. feel it. it is worth the money IMHO.

^^ Quoted from RRM website: "This intake fits both Manual transmission and Automatic transmissions. Expect to drop a full second in 0 - 60 mph times with this intake as the MIVEC kicks in and this engine gulps in air!"

does it seem to anyone else like the snorkel's air stream will mostly miss the air filter?

theres no way you can drop a second with that. that should just add you like 0.2 HP or something stupid like that. imo, there's no point on putting a "performance air filter" if you dont have a performance exaust. think about it, those filters suck more air into your car, but then your stock exaust blows little air out... pointless to me. actually, to me... aftermarket filter + no aftermarket exaust= f'ing up you engine.

? There's nothing wrong with just adding an intake, not everyone can afford to spend 600$+ in one go. With the new motor you might get decent power with an intake, MIVEC and the general down-tuned nature of the motor might work in people's advantage.
