finally, rims!
****'s ride
Well I finally got some rims for my car. I bought them used off Ha_ze. That, added to his tail lights and his grill now on my car, I'm thinking maybe I should've just bought his whole Lancer.

I'm not a big fan of having one carbon fiber piece on my car... so if I can ever manage to make my stock grill (painted black with mesh inserted) look presentable i'll prob switch back. But until then this grill looks pretty cool. Also, it's ziptied to my hood at the moment because the holes Haze drilled in it are just enough off my hood that I can't use them and drilling new ones will be a pain

I wanted some extra security so I kept my original lock nut on the wheel along with the new ones. Only problem was the "key" wouldn't fit because of the rim's design, so I grinded it down until it was small enough to work. I don't have a before pick but you can compare it to yours... i just thought it was a pretty good idea so i thought I'd brag a little

I also finally bought RRM's check engine light canceler thingy for my header and its working so far (fingers crossed) so I'm pretty excited. The sensor was such a pain to take off (I actually had to cut the 4 wires and later solder them back together in order to use the "16 point/circle" part of the wrench because the other side was rounding off the bolt
) but after it came loose the rest was a piece of cake.
Only other mods I might add to my car at this point are coilovers and/or a piggyback, but as expensive as they are it'll be a while, if ever. Other than that, I'm pretty happy with how my Lancer looks and performs when considering my low budget for this project. Comments/Advice welcome
edit, mods you can't really see in the pictures:
AEM CAI
RRM Header
A3 Racing Axleback Exhaust
Too many small random things to list
edit for painted grill:
sorry about the poor quality; cell phone pic

ha, typo
I thought about painting this one black, but I'd hate to ruin such a nice CF grill if I mess up (I'm not much of a painter). Maybe I'll get it professionally done if I can't get my stock one to turn out

they look pretty awesome man, that style just looks great.
wish they made some royal bronze
now as previously stated, slam that beast!

Got the CF grill painted and installed (with actual screws this time, not just zip ties). It was a pain because the predrilled holes (from Haze's car) were just enough off that I had to drill new ones, but not far enough off that the new ones could easily be drilled... right now 4 of the 8 connections are secure.
I tried painting my stock grill black and it turned out pretty bad. It was a real flat black (even with the right paint code + clear cote) and it chipped real easy. I took this one to Maaco to get it done right and they charged me about 60 bucks I think. Well worth it in my opinion cause it matches perfect, except for the lack of bug marks
