Well, i did that cheap/easy mod of changing the AC controls to red, looks very nice. but any1 that has it prolly agrees that the cd player needs to be changed too. So I took it apart to find the bulbs and maybe rig up a red condom for them, but there are like 5 or 6 microscopic bulbs!I saw that some1 on here had changed it, and I was wondering how. It seems maybe to paint the bulbs, or to paint that clear plastic piece that carrys the light to all of the buttons.If any1 has done, please share your wisdom

 

LEDs are a good alt. to standard bulbs, and they are small(fit almost anywhere)

 

I think he means "inside" the radio, in which case I doubt you will be able to fiddle with it enough to get small enough LEDs in there. Though would be easier to just buy a new headunit, paint them bulbs might work..

how did u get the condoms on the bulbs, did u only wrap the outside of the bulbs, not the top? i tried that and it was raelly hard to work with. if u did or whatever, do u have any pics of the bulbs condomized?

 

I have fiddles with it, but have conceded to simply buy a head unit that has red graphics whenever it gets out of national backorder

 

change head unit way e-zer than tyin to change the display on the stock unit Best Buy has ones with Lot'o' Red in them and there cheep too

 

well i just got my car a few weeks ago so i wanna put my money into something else like an exhaust, i got the cd player apart and everything, just need a good wayto color it

I'm waiting on the panasonic touch-screen with the high-res screen. I have been waiting for months.. it seems to be in very high demand from what I can tell..
