My car...

In anticipation of my turbo being put on I decided to clean my car. Nothing too crazy has been done to the car, most obvious a drop and the addition of a carbon fiber hood, which is now cracking, and a JDM ralliart grill.

All Clean... don't mind the rear lip... I really should pay more attention to driving over ledges...

A Good shot of the Hood and grill

My favorite shot... it's the good side.

My roomate's Saturn Ion Redline... they look like they are going to fight... Totally not staged...

And finally my girlfriend's Lancer... Yeah I had something to do with her picking it up... When I'm done with mine I'll start in on hers.

Ha, I just noticed that. Sucky. Front end looks good with that hood/grill combo.

Thanks. I really need to get the hood painted or recoated... I'm leaning toward painting to keep it as much as a sleeper as I can.

Nex SS coilovers. Almost two years on them and no problem at all. Love the look, love the ride.

Painted would be cool. At least you get weight savings from it being CF. Too bad it wasnt painted evo style. Those look good. ha

They do. I'm just not trying to look like an Evo.

Yeah. You would enjoy the cooling benefits though. If we all looked like evo's it wouldnt be any fun.

I am thinking of perhaps adding a vent over the location where my intake will be... but cutting carbon fiber isn't like cutting bread and I don't know about that.

you could always install the CF vent from RRM... your cuts won't have to be spot-on.

i love my evo style hood, but i also have some issues with cracking. oh well, it's bound to happen sooner or later. i'm more pissed off about the rusting parts on my sparco hood pins.

I just had a mental picture of me cutting into my hood and cracking the hell out of it. Painting seems to be my best and cheapest option as of right now... I think I'll be going ahead and doing that.

cutting CF isnt that hard... just use painters tape on top and bottom around cutting area. and use a dremel tool and go very slow.. Then coat the inside of the hole you cut with resin so the CF wont splinter.
