i would say debadge it .. some gunmetal rims , a drop , some blacked out headlights, window tint , oz rally lip kit, and a diff grill , or blacked out stock one.

We have an entire forum dedicated to this so in the end you have to do your own research and decide what is right for, everyone has their own idea of what looks good. I would debadge it, lower it using coilovers, get some nice bronze 15" rims in a style that covers up the drums well, get blacked out headlights, evo 7 style taillights, OZ lip kit and a Ralliart grille.

Agree 100% on this part, nothing looks worse than a car with a body kit and nothing else.

You have clean slate to work with, NICE. My first suggestion is always tint, it just sets the car off. From there I would, de-badge-it, get some DEPO tail lights and then rims. But thats just me.

rims, drop, tint, debadge, blacked out headlights/grill, turbo
then if you have any money left over (which i doubt you will) get a evo body kit (or a camera)
catch my drift?

I would say paint the chrome part of the grille black. That would look nice. De-badge some of it or all of it to your liking. Maybe blacked out headlight housings. Those rims would look nice on it. Lower it using whatever you want/need.

Thats all I can think of right now but should keep you busy for a while.

EDIT: oh and a OZ rally wing would really set it off so I personally would put it toward the top of the list.

EDIT 2: The above things are things you can do over time. If you have some money to burn laying around then turbo and coilovers are the best things you can do to this car IMO.
