Carbon fiber hood vinyl wraps??

Be honest....anyone use this on your hood or trunk? I can't afford a new hood and I don't think that the difference in weight would make a difference on my O.Z. anyway.

Does anyone have pictures of their car with this? I saw a blue Evo awhile back with the center of his hood covered in vinyl. It looked really nice and you almost couldn't tell it was vinyl until you got really close to it.

carbon fiber vinyl is something that if I saw I would laugh at. imho, if your not going to go all out to actually get a carbon fiber hood. Don't try to fake it. It will look fake.

So does the weave in your carbon fiber make you faster? Didn't think so. We're all trying to fake having Evo's anyway, so what's the difference???

the difference is quality.

of course the extra 35 HP to the wheels helps.

so we're ricers because we have CF... and we're below you because we're telling you not to fake CF? this is what happens when you ask us to be honest--you get honest answers.

-1 for stickers. If you're going to do something, do it right.

id rather spend 300+ on a good quality hood. then a roll of stickers that would probably cost almost $100

I resent that statement.
I've always said that we shouldnt try to be Evo's.
I want mine to be a Kick@ss-Lancer. Period.
Id like an Evo.. but I have a Lancer. I think of tuning the Lancer, like I were tuning any other car, but its a Lancer nonetheless. Not a Wannabe-Evo.

Lastly, Id rather spend 100 bucks on a delaminated Real CF Hood, and restore it, than spend 20 on some cheap-@ss fake CF.
For someone who wants to be an Evo.. You should realize Evo's dont have fake CF either; so dont lose sight of your goal by goin' cheap.

nah dont' do it man
think of it this way.... imagine ur driving.... looking all pimp driving by the ladies.... then out of nowhere, ur carbon fiber "sticker" peels off, and now u got a flapping peice of sticker on ur hood....

on a seroius note
it's like getting hubcap "rims", and slapping a peice of metal on ur trunk as a gt wing
