No offense taken, everyone has their opinion.. I actually do some professional photography and not everything comes out perfect.. I do like those pictures for what it captured, My personal favorite is the taillight shot, it was used as a promotional poster for a local speed shop.. Most of the time I'm just happy their in focus..

I'm an amateur photographer, though I concentrate mostly on natural scenes when I shoot. Personally, I'm impressed with a few of MalibuJack's shots and I like the original as well... though the shadows and glares were a little off. Ideally, I think the speedometer would be unreadable due to glare and the tach visible. Further, if they were to switch places, that may also be preferable, but keeping the tach visible. Hard to imagine without seeing unfortunately, so this is little more than an idea.

I liked the original photo as well... taking pictures is one of those things where once in a while, you accidentally capture something you really like... and that is what that picture is.. as a photographer there is one thing we eventually realize.. for every 20 pictures taken, there may only be 1 or 2 usable photos for any of numerous reasons.. I remember going to the Museum not too long ago, and took about 100 photos in low light without a flash.. I was convinced that most of them came out really great, when I got home and looked, out of the 100 photos, there were 15 or so that were good enough to consider using. The rest were either underexposed, blurred, or had some sort of imperfection that retouching couldn't fix. Be happy with your pic, its really cool, and the difference between a photograph and a snapshot is your eye for composition, keep snapping away..

Wow, i was getting trashed on the first page. Thanks for the backup. Thats exactly what i was showing it for. I liked the composition of it, nice shadows and such. You are right it has a little glare but overall its not to bad. Especially with an el cheapo digi cam. thanks for the insight.

Some people are very critical of lights and shadows, many people's brains like to see things in a certain way, otherwise it doesnt look right to them.... of course, many of those people take out of focus photos, or have their thumb in the pic.. ::CHUCKLE::

It looks a lot like something you might see in promotional materials.
The only thing that throws off the photo is the sh*ty shadow directly over the other than that, nice
