My aftermarket rims didnt even make a year before the clearcoat started coming off. So I took them in today and they are getting sandblasted and painted metallic black. I cant wait to see them, and apparently we arent allowed to search the registry anymore so Im asking if any of you have black rims on a yellow lancer. My pics will be posted in a few days.

 

dont paint powdercoat about same price maybee a bit more last 10x longer

 

I should have said painted and then the dude is supposed to clear coat them a few times.

 

I'm looking at black or gunmetal for my Yellow OZ, I think they will look good!!!

Edit: Add polished lip.

 

I think gunmetal would look a thousand times better personally. Black wheels detract from the look of the wheel itself imo. Polished lips help make them look a little interesting, but I'm the kinda guy who likes to look at a nice wheel and soak in its wheeliness.

 

Adam aka: Norefills has black rims on a yellow OZ. They dont look too bad. pretty nice.

 

if your going to go with black rims slap a carbon fiber hood on it complements it well im in the process of doing the same

 

I have black adr cyphers on my yellow lancer. I have gotten more complimetns about the whole car since those got mounted. If you have a chance to look up these rims they are black in the mirrld with a machined silver lip on the outside. They look great. I will get some pics up in the next couple days if you would like.

black wheels are nice to complement big brakes/rotors. If i had to get darker wheels i would def. get gunmetal with polished lip. I would def. get them powdercoated as well.
