Nice car dude, Nice to have someone else from the UAE with a Lancer GT, we should have a lil lancer meeting one day, I know a couple of guys who have a GT now so that would be a cool thing to do

 

yeah man...that'll be cool.any mods yet on your GT?...i'm thinking of MOMO racing pedals 'coz i can't find 08 accessories here yet and the GT only has those black rubber pedals they look too ...errr...simple.

 

Not yet, its a bit early for me to do stuff, im enjoying the ride stock right now, but i'll be getting lots of stuff in 2 months, springs, bar package from rrm, headers, Injen CAI, etc etc.. I just cant wait to get the springs n bar package though, the suspension needs to be toughened up a bit more

 

nice man...not sure though if all these mods be ok with RTA or the traffic dept. i heard a lot of limitations and restrictions on mods,but...all are word of mouth,you know any, in hard copy?at least no troubles after installation...coz some of my friends tend to remove ..errr .. like their CAI's,headers... before registration...they said it's illegal....enlighten me man,tnx.

 

hmm well to start off, Im not really worried about the registeration now, The car is an 08 model and therefore you dont have to take it for a check up before getting it registered for 2 years.. Police will actually only stop you if your car is way too loud, the Injen CAI doesnt seem to make so much noise from the videos i've seen, and i heared that the RRM Headers that will come out soon are not very loud as well,
And if you can make your own exhaust set up it doesnt have to be very loud as well, I had a custome exhaust on my previous car which sounded amazing and never been asked for it and it passed all the registeration tests even though it was lowered as well, so it all depends on how you really choose the parts you want on your car..
I think that nowadays RTA is giving permissions for some modifications, Im not sure about that one but if its true that would be awesome..

yup, will surely do man, but i wont be gettin anything at the moment, I'll start gettin the parts in one or two months.. We really need to have a Lancer EX meeting in DXB, lots of new lancers around and i think we deserve our lil meeting fun lol
