Just when I was feeling bad-*** and smug, on my way back an STi pulls up behind me and rides my ***. I go as fast as I'm comfortable with, but I can't lose him. I pull over at the next turn out and let him pass -- and never see him again. That thing is a beast.. and there's absolutely no way we are anywhere close to that kind of performance. But that's okay, I didn't expect this car to be anywhere near that good. I definitely recommend upgrading your tires. After the swaybar, this is the best mod I've done.
Well really it's an STI, they come stock with amazing tires and they're fast as ****, last time I drove one it actually made me stop in mid-sentence just to go "holy ****" because it was so fast in comparison to anything I had driven up to that point. I'm glad you're actually mature enough and down to earth enough to recognize it as a true performance car, it seems like a lot of members fail to understand that idea. Anyways, good choice on the tires, I loved em when I had em and actually debated getting them for my WRX. I like the gold on black look, the contrast is really nice. The only thing I don't like is how large they look in comparison to the stock rotors and the stock drums, they seem a bit "open" in the pics but I have a feeling in person they'd look killer.

I don't like how the stock rotors/drums look either, but it's not like I'm making crazy power to justify the purchase for more stopping power/efficient cooling.. I don't see why people rag on the STIs. They will tear your *** to shreds in the hands of a capable driver. And I'm sure even in the not-so-capable hands as well. There is a ton of technological magic under there. You'd be wrong not to be afraid of its potential. I

Fair enough, that's why I went with 15" Slipstreams when I had my lancer, they hid the drums really well. People rag on the STI because they A. got caught up in the mitsubishi fanboy parade, B. watch too much street racing videos and C. have never driven anything faster than their mom's Accord. It's easy to talk big when you have no idea what you're actually talking about.

same 205/50/16. How much of a drop? I'm planning on buying coilovers next, I don't want to have any issues with lowering them..
