Need some cleaning advice

this is what covers the passenger side of my car, i need some sort of product to get it out; anyone seen something like this before?

it covers my back bumper as well (which is plastic) so i don't think its rust =/

any advice is appreciated, the drivers side of the car seems fine

I'd try a clay bar. It looks like you've been parking under a power line.

Clay bar FTW! It'll remove that. If you have any questions about brands and how to use let me know.

X2! I've used Turtle Wax brand Bug, Tar, and Sap remover since I've owned my lancer. Best thing ever! It's totally clear coat safe too.

Clay Bar should clean that up nicely. The brown spots are probably tiny pieces of metal that have embedded themselves in the clear coat and started to rust.

Try to clean that up as soon as possible because the longer you leave it, the more damage it is going to do to your finish..

Definitely looks like some metal that just got embedded into the clear. Clay bar should do the trick, if not use the clay bar and the tar remover.

Clay bar should do it. Here's a thread to a similar problem and solution that I've saved. I ran into the same thing when my girlfriend recently got an 07 VW Rabbit that had sat on the lot for a while.
