There's a write up some how in the how to's. I know some one has done it before and it does require welding of brackets and what not to widen the seat platform because the Evo seats are wider than the Lanccer's.

I have done this swap on my es. The welding is not required if you have the seats that don't fold down. The backing slides right down on the hooks. You do have to bend some of the brackets on the seats at the bottom to fit it in. For the bottom, you have to bend some brackets also and you have to get a set of evo clips for where you clip and unclip the seat to lift up on. I should do a write up. They do fit, but there is a slight gap that I still haven't figured out how to fill. I just placed a towel on the bottom to push it up and you really can't tell.

as i've said in other threads about seats: it's not that hard. i helped my friend put evo seats in his OZ and there was no welding required.
as for that gap: make sure the seats are hooking into the little brackets at the top of the body behind the seats and that should them in place. then cut through the foam and put a piece of aluminum through the back of the seat; thread it through the metal bars inside the foam. put two carriage bolts into the aluminum and thread all that BS through a piece of MDF that fits over the opening where you can get to the trunk. if you already have something there just drill through that and secure the carriage bolts on the other side (inside the trunk).
