parts:

wrench (remove grill from hood)
screw driver (remove fins from grill)
white tape (to cover areas u dont want to paint)
paint

Removing Grill:

behind the grill there should be 4-6 nuts holding the grill in place. 2 of them are covered with a black rubber cap. after removing the nuts u then squeeze the yellow tips so that the grill will come off the hood.

Removing the Fins:

There are 6 screws on each fin. unscrew those and the fins should come right off.

What type of sanding should be done to the grill to ensure the paint sticks?

I had taken off my grill to paint it, and I did a couple test areas to see how the spray paint would stick, and it came off too easily.

Advice please.
