thinking about getting some altezza tail lights for my 2002 lancer es. what is involved in installing these? is it something that i can do on my own? thanks

 

ok let me save ur *** before somebody jumps in this thread and hurts your feelings ( ...they do that) just open the trunk take out the two screws that bolt the lights in pullthe assmbly out disconnect the harness remove the tail assemly completely ..put bulbs in new lights and installation is reversal of removal takes all of 5 minutes..i'm not thinking this is worth a how to but i'm putting mine on wed i'll take some pics and put them in the how two forum

 

i think it is funny alot of evo owners are getting rid of the altezza's and the oz owners want the altezza's...you know what they say...the grass is greaner on the other side...ha ha...i personally like the altezza's on the evo

 

i got the two screws out, but pulling on the light wouldn't get it to come out, it seemed to be attached somewhere in the middle. didin't want to hurt it, so i didn't pull to hard.

 

yeah pple usually want what they dont have ..funny how that works out ...BUT I'll post the pics of how the tail light is attached to the car so you can see where it's attached and which angle to pull it so it doesnt give you a hard time ... but just to give you a hint there is a plug that holds in the corner of the tail lights to the side part of the car opposite the two screws.. that snaps in and out if you pry w/ a screw driver or dig in w/ your fingers and pull straight back the light should come on out..but like i said i'll post pics
