My 02 Rio Red

**** It's been a few years but I am active again! Full repaint and some other goodies.. take a look over the thread.****

Well i have had the skirts laying around for some time now and i was bored so i starting putting them on.
The entire car will be repainted stock Rio Red color this winter grill and all. Also puttin the stock tails back on because they are now tinted and look way better.

Will finish it up tomorrow and hopefully get my Progress Springs in next weekend. Then get some wheels enventually most likely next month. Deffintly going for a gold Rotas look.

Ill be posting more pics tomorrow if i get them all put on even though still different colors =P

i'd put that plate back where it belongs. MA state police have "sharp pens" as one told me.

looks like hampton or salisbury beach... i never go though so i might be wrong.

Not bad... you're definitely thinking in the right direction. Wheels are something you want to look into early on, they completely change the look of the car. Color matching too, but I suppose that takes a little more cash...

Looks Good

Lol yeah all of these things i have thought of just that money is tight so step by step is fine with me.

so heres exactly what i have going on -

Since my old bumpers were in pretty bad shape i just put on the both new bumpers with the lip already on them. The reason for it all being different colors is simply because the bumpers and lip came from a Phoenix Red Oz. This winter the car will be resprayed all Rio Red again. Even the grill. I'm definitely trying to make it as clean as possible.

I have had Progress Springs laying around so I'm sure ill get to them sooner or later as well.

And i know i should invest in some wheels soon. I'm just gonna pay off a set slowly from a local shop as soon as other things on my list get checked off. Theres no doubt about it when its all Rio Red I'm going with gold wheels, or even a bronze.

As for license plate lol i know Mass is crazy about that. Since new bumpers i haven't had a chance but i will this week.
I also cant wait to put my stock tails back on. I got these tails for free with the grill so they been on since.

Thanks for all the comments guys! Ill get a lot better pics as soon as i clean her up a little bit.

OK.. Im sorry to do it.. but i have to bash you a little bit..

i do like the car and the direction your going. but it looks like ***...
the taillights need to be burned and melted,
rims.. well you should look into some nice lookin 16s..
and the body.. omg dude.. please paint the car. (a small lip for the trunk lid like a rexspeed spoiler would look nice if painted to match)

not many nicely modded rr lancers out there, im sure you could make yours stand out in a nice way

over all decent start, but clean it up.. looks like a 'pull a part' car from a junk yard almost..

-ps- please dont be mad, im just inciting my opinion on helping you car look as nice as possible.
