yeah you wanna get good performance coilovers. I would say save money up for the good stuff, not the cheap kinds that can mess up your struts. Looks really good on how you guys repaired it. So did you guys have to pull the frame? And How many miles was on it? I see turbo kit on the sometime soon list lol. I would go with that right away, but since you are on a budget i would just do some sound mods for better sound inside the lancer like a system. Grab a nice exhaust and intake.

The frame itself wasnt actually damaged, we did however had to pull the door out and square that off rest of pieces were pretty much remove bent scrap pull body a bit and bolt on the new. The car as of now has about 116k I believe, but mechanically its performing great, and complete engine service coming up as soon as we get sometime probably in a couple of weeks.
Turbo kit I'm considering right now because afaik you wont get much power out of this engine no matter what, so considering my options but for now just looking for a fun DD and having some fun with what I got.
Currently has a custom intake I'll take pictures of it tomorrow maybe, and an exhaust I was considering.

springs aren't all that bad... (in my opinion) for what you are doing to the car i think it would be all set with some s-techs springs or something... you don't have to go all out..

i've got tein s-techs that i bought used for 80 bucks and not many complaints other then they squeak when the car is goin slow on bumps... very common because i didnt put the rubber thingy on... i never even got an alignment and my car doesnt pull to the side or wear the tires uneven... I'm thinkin bout cutting the front springs a lil bit to lower it a bit more...

I just have to say this to save some poor soul who reads this and doesn't get an alignment based on your experience. Always, always, always get an alignment after you do something as major as swtiching springs or coilovers. And always check your torque specs on the bolts that hold it in. You might think that you are good but when it comes to suspension mods nothing is is more serious. Traveling 80 mph on the highway and you experience a failure and you could potentially die or take someone else out.

Ok so its been 5 months since i installed my springs... At first i did the front ones and drove like that for a week or two and then did the back ones... i check my tires very often and they do not wear uneven or does the car feel weird.. Im not saying don't get an alignment. I just said i didn't and im fine. If you have the money sure go ahead and do it. And LRD its not that difficult to install springs, I'm 17 and did it myself with a friends help... The rear one was a PITA because the bolt would not come out but other than that it was pretty easy for my first time doing something like this.
