while the cf hood looks great on yellow, to me there was something about it just being BAM a black (cf) hood that threw me a bit.... painting the sides yellow brings the fenders and the hood together nicely and just makes it flow more naturally if you ask me. But to each his own
Also from the front i think it gives it a more aggressive look!
Wow I can't believe you did so much body stuff before getting wheels and a drop, but its looking really good. I love the way you did the hood, I think its way better than plain CF. Very sweet man 
eh..its alright. i dont really dig many kits for our cars. that car is just a huge gap with blitz sides. and the hood is fine with painted sides..i personally think you painted too much, like too far inward. but its your car. 
but im sure itll all come together when you get rims. rims change it all.

here is a pic of my new hood with a stock grill redone in carbon fiber will post pic when it is finished I also am getting the evo 3 front bumper and m3 mirrors put on it goes in the shop on tue. will post pics when finished

I think it would look tight with A Flat black ROOF ...well thats what im gonna do with mine.. after i get the cf hood.. also just got my gunmetal rims with yellow oz.. loooks so hot

hey its all personal preference, Me , na i would have left the whole hood CF, but it looks damn good non the less, i have no dislikes about the look, and i think your car is lookin great

well that aspect is entirely preferrence as you point out i suppose....
just as a note the distance inward was chosen by the natural body lines of the hood... i felt it would look kind of awkward if the paint line fell short or beyond the body line, thus the reason it is on the body line =)

i threw the vis cf evo hood on my car. (yellow oz) it looks sick! the hood on yours still looks hot. road race had a yellow oz with the same or similar hood on it. get some rims and drop your ride man!!! nice car.
