I'm just curious, but would it be cheaper to buy the stock paint (If thats the color u want to stick with) and take it to a shop to have whatever it is you want painted (Like say a body kit or a wing) Or would it be cheaper to have the shop try and match it up.

Let the shop match it. They have the codes and the correct formulas for the paint to match. There are many types of paint and if the painter isnt comfortable with the type the factory uses he could make mistakes

but if he makes mistakes, thats on him and he has to fix it or start over., unless otherwise stated in the contract...

have the shop match it. anything you buy at the dealership will cost you your left ********.

Dealer paint is outrageous. $$$$
