Not quite a Lancer, but... (56k)
To the OP
Great job on your project, there have been quite a few successful 4g63 swaps with AWD. Your "lancer" badge is in the correct spot
so don't change that. btw the hatchback mirages were actually called "cyborgs" in japan.
Wow, I haven't been on here in a while. I was hoping to see something new tonight and sure enough I did. Great job man! The badges would only bother people if they knew it was a conversion to begin with. If you're intentions are to go AWD/4G63T and go all out then by all means use the badges lol. Previous Evo 6's and below that have been shipped here have to get registered under a Mirage VIN anyway so it correlates some what. It's not like you're just taking a regular Mirage and blatantly claiming it's an Evo just because of the badging. Besides, I'm sure the Mirages and Evo V's have more in common than, say a '02 base Lancer and an Evo VII...

Wheels won't change for some time, until I go to the 5-lug. Not sure why everybody hates them, I very much like them, and they're not common, which makes me like them that much more.
I can't drop it much more in the front, it's already rubbing quite a bit, the back may receive a drop once it warms up.
I live in MN (home for the holidays), but I'm stationed in North Carolina.
I didn't care for his work or work ethic at all. I purchased the car in November '07 and was supposed to come home in May '08. He said he was going to have it ready the second day I was home. I didn't receive the (semi)-completed car until the end of October. And the only reason I did receive it was because I had it towed from his shop to another since he wasn't getting anywhere with it. I overpaid for the work he did (or didn't do), and when I had him paint it, he basically put off doing the full paint job, and just did the primer. Which looked fairly nice at first, but then I found that he didn't prep the passenger side at all. The primer has started rubbing off on the pass. doors. There were several items that were missing from the car that I wasn't told about until about the time I moved the car. (Seat belts, airbag, etc).
He didn't know how to run the turbo kit, as he ran the MAF as a blow-through:

He didn't have the BOV vacuum line hooked up, and the boost gauge wasn't hooked up at all.
The turbo-to-downpipe and exhaust-to-muffler connections were not bolted properly, as both have come loose with normal driving (haven't tracked her yet, only dyno'd it once). There were no gaskets from the exhaust manifold to the turbo, turbo to the downpipe, or exhaust to the muffler, and consequently, I have a few bad exhaust leaks.
In short; I'd never bring a car to him nor recommend him to anyone ever again.
