Ooh Ooh I Got One!

yes, PEOPLE install video game systems in their cars, and it's pretty effin cool... well to me n e wayz.

ALRIGHT HERE'S THE BRAIN FART: I want to install one in my lancer, and I know NOTHING close to making it look real nice in there... i can probably come up with something (hooking it up) but eh, i'd rather hear it from someone that's done it before or knows how to.
ALRIGHT HERE'S THE KICKER: unlike almost every car owner with a game system in there, you know... the usual PS2, XBOX, PS1... well I was thinking to myself "hey... why isn't there n e Dreamcast installed cars out there?"

I mean, c'mon; the dreamcast is one hell of a game system and if anything it'd be one of the most fun ones to have... why? most, if not all games for it are always fun, great ****ing graphics (yeah it's no gamecube or xbox lol) but here's the best part of all!!! YOU CAN DOWNLOAD THE GAMES AND PLAY THEM IN THE DREAMCAST WITHOUT A MOD CHIP!! HOW SWEET IS THAT?!!!

ok I have to stop now, getting too excited lol
Please, if you have the know-how on how this can be pulled off, SHARE THE WEALTH!! lol

Thank you kindly

Just use a XBoX. Best part of the XBoX is you can swap the hard drive for something like a 120 gig'er and rent games and copy it right on. Or if u have a good DSL line, get them of the net.

Come to think of it, DOA Beach Volleyball can cause a car accident if the driver sees it.

actually, i have three tv's, a playstation 2 and an xbox in my car. it is pretty easy to do. first figure out what screen you want to use to play on. me i went with the apline iva-d900 dvd in front with 2 alpine tmx-680 in the rear. then buy a power inverter to run the systems off. the best thing is location of system, i have the ps2 under the drivers seat and the controllers come through the center console, the xbox is under the passanger seat and the controllers fo the same. when it is all said and done, your friends will never want to drive again, espically after a night at the bar or club (disclaimer: do not drink and drive it is illegal and not safe.) (disclaimer2: do not play video games and drive, it is also illegal and could be a distraction to the driver.)

hehe yeah i know of that already, i'm kinda doing that already haha
but i don't wanna keep that type of machine in there cuz then (knowing how ppl are around here) that **** will get swiped fast... that's another reason why i say dreamcast

and yeah there may not be that many games for the DC but being the type of guy that i am, i'd be playing my snes, nes, genesis emulators AND VCDS on my dreamcast

that's more than i can say for other systems lol
plus like i said, you can download all the dreamcast games out there and burn them on a reg. cd - r, and play them without a chip.... but that's just me tho

Hey oz E... Can you fill me in on how to download the games and durn them to a cd....

I was under the impression that the DC used 1gb cd for thei platform.. and that you had to have a patch and other stuff to get these games to work right on the DC...

Id love to get some more games and stuff running on my DC...

and I have all three Dc psII and Xbox.... nothign compares to the DC and the graphics aceeleration..... trust me when I say sega was well ahead of everyone...

thnks

Actually, you can use any size drive now. The 137 Gig barrier has been broken in the BIOS.

Too bad the new XBOXes are v4 and haven't been TSOP flashed yet...

I tried the XBOX in the car, but its startup power drain is insane. It'll dim your lights if you use a power converter big enough to start it, and if you don't use a converter putting out ~150W, it won't even boot.

The DC is a nice idea, but it runs really hot, and the laser will kick out of alignment after a few good bumps. Not to mention how ungodly LOUD they are when the access.

If you put it together clean, I'd still love to see it.

Sega DID NOT go chapter 11. They only stopped making hardware as they could not make any profit with it. They are a software development only company now, and a darn big one, not as big as EA though.

Dreamcast in a car; sounds like a good idea, but I don't think it would be the first.
