Sir Lance-A-Lot - Kinda... yeah. My first car was an silver/grey 06 Civic coupe and it was soooo bland...ugh. it was nice to have the black when i first got it, but i'd like to do it mitsubishi's like navy blue color that they had for lancers back in 03. although to be honest i would probably change the color on a weekly basis if i could...heh. now that would be the ****. push a button and get a different color car. just like in the video games! :-P

scorpionx13 - thanks man, it came with the car so when i saw another lancer on the road i was like "why the hell would he replace such a nice grill?" lol but yeah i hope i can transfer it to the Evo 7 front conversion kit i want to get from RRM... it doesn't look like it though...

^^Image from RRM.com
If your going to get the Evo 7 conversion, go w/ Accolade's kit. I'm not 100%, but I'm pretty sure you have to modify RRM's by removing the crash bar. I'm sure someone can correct me if I'm wrong.

DJ Icy Diva - You couldn't be more right... since I posted this thread I have gotten a Short ram intake, ordered a catback exhaust and got new fogs...well really replaced the fogs cuz my other set ...broke...i'm just gonna go with that.

lankid23 - Thanks man!

PsychoAmbrosia - I think you're right on that one actually... I remember reading a post somewhere about having to modify the crash bar in order to get something to fit. I'll take a look at Accolade's kit, though to be honest body mods are more likely to be a loong way off just yet lol.

You could just go with the VIS front bumper and hood

PsychoAmbrosia - Yeah man that's probably the next thing on my list... though I gotta remember to save some money in general. Seems like every pay check I get is gone the next day lol.
I love the Lancer's rear bumper... as long as I'm looking at it directly from behind... lol. When I see it from the side I think DAMN I could put some book ends on there and make it a bookshelf. Hahaha. I don't understand what Mitsu was thinking when they designed that. Oh well that's why they make body kits.

ThunderOZ - Yeah VIS ftw. Unfortunately body kits are expensive...even just the hood and bumper. All in all though I'm probably just going to wait until I get enough money to do a body kit and get it painted at the same time. There are a few dozen scratches in my paint from various things and I'm gonna have to get the parts painted anyway so I might as well do it all at once rather than have to pay seperately for every new piece I put in.

Long Overdue Update..

Well I got a few new things for the car... swapped tires before the winter hit for Michelin Pilot Exalto A/S 195/60R15s which I have to say are a pretty good overall tire. I also got a set of projector headlights with 8000k HIDs off of ebay...sadly they were short lived as a week after I got them I hit a guard rail . Soooo yeah. Some good news came from it though as all the bulbs (including the HIDs) are all still in working condition. So I think I'm just going to order another set of the projectors without the HIDs and put these ones in there.

Here are some pics for ya. Before and after.

Also... a question for the masses: would it be douche of me to buy a 6000k H7 HID kit and put it in as the High Beam bulb in those projectors? lol...

That actually looks really nice. I might have to consider that actually hahaha. Although sadly I'm not sure if I will be doing much more to this car as I may not have it by next year.

Long story short, the input shaft bearing and seal blew out on me last year; so I replaced the trans with one from a junkyard (because $700 was all I could afford). Now the clutch/trans is starting to make a similar noise as when it stopped working last year... so I'm gonna try and push it through the winter and hope that all goes well enough.
