excuse me for my ignorance..but what purpose does a guage pod do for a non turbo car???

I knoe there are air/fuel ratio's and stuff...I dunno the importance of monitoring these things

 

If you ever race your car(autocross, drag, really any form of racing) it is VERY important to know what your stats are for performance reasons. If your oil pressure is low you can burn up your entire engine due to lack of lubrication. If your Coolant temperature is too high and you don't know it your can can overheat quickly and do very serious damage to the engine if you don't know what is going on.
