Probs with factory seats??
Is anyone else having probs with their factory seats? Both the driver and passenger seats in mine are fading where you sit and, my back seat is crappy too. The end of it right behing the driver seat looks as if the stitching came loose or something because the material isn't tight onto the seat. I showed the dealer and told them that there is no reason for it to be fading because no one has ever spilled anything and as for the back seat, it's rare that anyone sits back there so there is no reason for that to be happening. The dealer said they would contact me when the rep that covers the whole northeast (which I believe is BS) is in the area and that was months ago and I have yet to hear anything. I believe they could care less about me or my seats, them bastards
MAYBE from sun but I really doubt it, depends on where your car is situated, no problems with it coming apart though, just where i sit is kinda messed up, but i dunno, i pretty much plan on getting some recaro seats :]
My only problem with the seats is that they have no sides and I slide around when I'm racing. But I really can't complain about that. "Yeah, my 4 door family sedan isn't very good at racing, can you warranty it out?"
seriously though, I wonder why it's doing that. My seats are fine after over a year and I live in Sunny California.

my stock OZ seats are ****. i just bought 2 tenzo R rally seats in yellow and black.. SICK holds me in real nicely when i'm taking turns going like 50. sun cant fade them cause i got tints all arounds hehe
over a year .. mine are fine. no fading issues .. i just wish they were more supportive .. on long drives my lower back gets sore. sliding around isn't really an issue even tho it does happen

I had the fabric on the bottom of my seat (where your *** goes) pull up about 5 weeks after i bought mine brand new! I immediately brought it back to the dealer and told them that it was a factory defect because this should not be happening to factory installed interiors! They tried to give me the "Let me get in contact with the Northeast Mistu Rep and have him come and look into the problem himself" shpeel! I told them if they make me wait any longer than a week, I am going to envoke the "lemon law on their *** and go and buy a REX!!! Thay had no problem fixing the situation themselves two days later by simply installing a new seat cover! It has been fine ever since!

first of all, i dont know if its all car dealers or just mitsu dealers but THEY'RE ALL FRIGGIN SCUMBAGS!!! anything that was wrong with my car (which was so much more than any brand new car should have) i had to go down there like a 45 minute drive at least 3 times to fight them into fixin it... freakin douche bag fat ***** aholes... (im not sure if cursing is frowned upon, so i cleaned it up a tad)
but otherwise my seats are fine, and i pray to GOD nothing else goes wrong on my car because i hate dealing with those jerk-offs, dont know about that bar in the back, i never got that happening, oh yeah, my front seat dont slide all the way up anymore... but i probaly dropped a nickel or a french fry or something in it
so i really cant complain about that

Well the Northeast Rep is at the dealer today and I'm going there at lunch.. I might get arrested for assault today if they don't give in a little bit, or I might just threaten that I'll have my boss lawyer sue them. I didn't spill anything on the seats for them to both fade (did I mention in the same spots? quite the coincidence) and there is no reason for the backseat to be as is.. If they don't do anything about it, I'll tell them I will send them the bill for the aftermarket seats I have to buy.. hahaha
Well, they are warrantying my back seat but they are only fixing it, they won't give me a new one. As for the faded front seats, they won't warranty them. The driver's side seat has a tiny burn hole from a cigarette in it (oops) and, because of the burn hole, that automatically voids the warranty for some odd reason. The rep came to the conclusion that both seats are not faded; they are stained because someone spilled something and tried to wipe it off.
I told him that there is hardly anyone in the car and that nothing was spilled on either seat and I found it odd how it happened to both seats in relatively the same spot but that didn't matter obviously. He told me he would give me phone numbers for people who could dye the seat. I told him I would probably just buy aftermarket seats. He didn't like that answer. He told me that I would be better off dyeing the seats because the seats are "custom fit for the car" and that "aftermarket seats would be too pricey". I laughed and told him that my bf owns an online store and could get me great seats at a good price. He didn't look too thrilled with the idea. Screw dealerships. I will never buy a car from this particular one again anyhow.
