cutting the hood in half....

i had thought about doing this to my previous truck and i sold it for my lancer and thoughts linger, i have seen few cars with it and some made it look good but what if your in an accident, if it gets hit, won't damage be worse? think this would look good on a lancer? oh...and does anyone know if the lambo kit works on the lancer and has anyone tried it? i might do the doors but i wouldn't touch the hood

lambo doors do not look good on 4 doors, also the hood would have to be a show car only mod in my opinion

as someone that works in the engine compartment all the time, i just don't see that as very practical, it would be a ***** to get in there and work on the engine.

As a show car, bah whatever you wanna do just do it. who cares what others think.

If you cut the hood, I would have worries about using it as an every day driver. LIke the others said, for show.... go for it if you like it. I can't say I've ever seen a lancer try the split hood, so who knows what it would look like.... unless any of you photoshop guys have nothing to do

I dont think u'll like how it looks when it's closed... there will be an ugly split down the middle making it look sorta tacky. It should be pretty easy tho, cut the hood in half, round the edges to make it look clean. put some hinges on the side and attach the hood peices to the hinges. But then u gotta make some custom hood latches so that it is secured and doesnt fly open while ur driving. Another thing to think about is that our grill is attached to the hood... so that might make it another problem.
