2002 Mitsubishi Lancer OZ Rally
2002 Mitsubishi Lancer OZ Rally
I've been browsing the forums for a while and I figure it's high-time I introduce myself and my car ... well maybe just my car.
So when my Toyota Camry was totaled by a motorcycle I figured it was time for a change in manufacturer. That's when I stumbled across a used '02 Lancer OZ Rally with 84k miles. It cost $7,300 including tax/DMV fees and came with a few mods already! It was a steal! And thus began my trip into car modification ...

Black housing headlights - Installed by previous owner.

StreetGlow OPTX Yellow Underbody Neon - Installed by me. The color is more yellow-green from what people tell me but w/e. It was $50 and when the bulbs go I'll just replace with ones that are more yellow.

RRM Evo Style Grill - Painted by local bodyshop. Installed by me. I also used some electrical tape to blacken out the remaining yellow paint on the frame you could see through the grill. A cheap and effective solution.

K&N Short Ram Intake - Installed by me. Sounds amazing and adds a great kick to the car.
RRM Lightweight Pully - Installed by RRM. The car's an automatic so there's only a slight increase in acceleration. I'm hoping this will cancel out the loss in low end power with new headers.

3M Racing Peddles - Installed by previous owner. I thought these were a little much at first, but eventually they grew on me.

Kenwood Stereo - Installed by previous owner.
Blue Underdash Neon - Initially these were yellow and installed by the previous owner. Yellow looked horrible, so I switched them out with blue ones.

Modified Evo VII Dash Gauges - I took the red filters off the lights to increase brightness/visibility. I'm trying to find blue gel covers or blue light replacements, but no luck so far.

Stock leather interior. Looks better than it does in this picture since I've cleaned it.

Black Drum Breaks - Cleaned the rust and painted these myself.

Kenwood KAC-7202 Amp - Installed by previous owner, but wasn't working when I bought the car. Eventually figured out that the inline fuse near the battery had blown and melted the surrounding plastic case. Replaced this and it worked fine. I also tweaked the amp settings and improved the wiring & speaker configuration.

Two 12" Kenwood Subs - Installed by previous owner. 300 Watts of awesome.

Magnaflow XL Performance Muffler/Exhaust - Installed by previous owner.
RRM License Plate Frame - Installed by me. Donated by the great guys at RRM.
"Carbon-Fiber" Tail-lights - Installed by previous owner. They aren't real carbon fiber, but they look good regardless.
Anywho the next thing on my to-do list is to swap in a 4G64 and sell the 2 NA mods I have now. I'll keep everyone posted on the progress of that ...
Let me know what you guys think!

My accident is a long story but the motorcycle hit my front-left wheel and ****ed up the suspension/axle. They estimated $9,000 in repairs and that is just the damage they could see without taking much of the car apart ...
