i went with gunmetal because silver is too stock. EVERY stock car comes with silver rims or hubcaps.

but thats just me and how i view rims.

 

i like the look of hyper black or gunmetal... but not so much on Thunder Grey lancers. I have a TG lancer and Im getting silver rims real soon. I think the contrast looks great, especially at night if that is what you're going for. Polished look good too...

 

i have silver 17s on now and i think they really make it look good, now here are the rims goin on now (polished)...

 

I like gunmetal because it matches the t-grey rather well, but if I was going for contrast, I'd stick with silver. And a silver lip looks nice on dark rims, especially while moving. But as you can see, we all have different opinions. I still use the silver rims on my street setup, and the gunmetal is just for racing.

honestly i can't see a TG lancer with anything besides gunmetal or hyperblack. i have a carbon millie miglia HT3 rims (light grey powder coat), and graphite konig theory (gunmetal).....i get compliments on my konigs all the time. everyone seems to love the idea that they match the car so well and go with my blacked out theme, but why not just get what you feel is the nicest? go to tirerack.com and discounttiredirect.com and see what different color wheels look like on the TG lancer.....good luck with your decision

 

Gunmetal polished lip or hyper silver polished lip

 

Ok, I have a TG Lancer with Konig Absolutes and they are grahite(gunmetal) with polished lip. It totally matches the car. I get alot of compliments on my rims. The color helps the flow and gives it that clean look.
I dont mean to hate on peoples rims but
WHITE rims doesnt really help the cars appearance.
SILVER is ok but i might as well put my stock OZ's back on,
plus every stock car has silver now
BRONZE is alright I dont think I have seen a TG with Bronze rims.
so to be different go with that.
BLACK to dark for a TG Lancer.
CHROME....go with this if your going for the BLING BLING look.

but this is all just my opinion. for me it graphite/gunmetal

gunmetal is always awesome..i said plain gunmetal..i plan on like...blackout headlight/tail light covers, and plain gunmetal rims, dark tint...cf hood/trunk/mirrors, white calipers maybe, and white neons. i think it'll look awesome.

my friends got a 03 jetta with hyperblack..they look pretty sweet

 

Well my car is tinted and i have carbon fiber tyc altezzas.

you have a dark car so go for bright rims chrome or hyper silver

 

Look up the Konig troubl rims... in graphite... that's what i got on my thunder gray lancer... and they loooooooook hott.....

 

I got ADR M-sport chrome.... now my car is drop with teins and I have a Ralli art grille

 

Go with orange, it would look sick!
