After looking through all the lancers I finally got the courage to post my daily drive oz rally.

Heres what I ve done to her since I bought her in september of 2009
-68,xxx miles- current daily drive bought at 49,000 miles
-New oem clutch and flywheel- 58,500 miles it was replaced
-New windshield and winsheild wipers- 67,000 miles replaced
-New tires Falken all seasons rated to 50,000 miles- 64,000 miles replaced and rotated at 67,800 miles.
-New drop in airfilter- 67,900 miles replaced
-Tune up- (to be done hopefully this week)
-Headlight spray-
-Pulled off all the ricer stickers off the side skirt-
-Fixed the rear bumper clips-
-Fixed the 3rd rear brake light-

I try to wash her every 2 weeks and wax her every 2 months.

I dont have any other plans for the Rally since I m actively trying to sell her for $8,300.00 . My next car will probably be a 2006 RS or 2008-2010 GSR depending on the price. For now I just daily drive the car and try to keep nothing from happening to it and fixing problems as they come up.

Hopefully things go good, I d love to get a evo sometime before winter but thats up in the air.

 

How much is your budget? If you're willing to repair and put up with a used car, there's a lot of evos out there in good condition for as low as 20k.

 

Well the problem is with medical bills and + the car loan it knocked up my debt to income ratio to 53% so its hard to get fianaced for a $15k-$22k additional. So I have to sell mine or pay it off before taking that step. I did get offered by carmax $6,000.00 but that means I d have to come up with $3,000 to pay off the rest of the loan. I had to run out of there before hitting some sense into the dealer there for offering such a horrible deal.

As for the budget once the car is gone, I wouldnt mind getting a virgin 2008 gsr or lightly modded 06 SE and paying like $400+ a month. I work security for $12 an hr so money isnt too much a issue, well minus the medical incident.
