mcbrown35 what size did you order? I've noticed Corbeau's come in a size fit for a 34 inch waist or you can order a larger size for 40 inch waists. I'm 6' tall and weigh 155lbs., I just don't want to have to squeeze in and out of a small seat so I was wondering how you feel when you sit down.

I'm bigger than you 6'2" 215 lbs..i bought the small ones because i wanted to be snug in the corners..i'm glad i didn't get the bigger ones. However I am noticing a loss of legroom..Tall people may want to consider as I feel I lost a good 2 inches of legroom. However they do lower you a good amount. Good lumbar support which the stock seats had none. The shoulder bolsters are also very comfortable, not annoying or pokey.

And yes it is a Greddy knob...very nice it screws on to the factory threads.

mcbrown35, You said before that it lowered the seat height. How much? One of my biggest gripes with the lancer is the seats sit so high off of the ground that you feel like your sittin on top of the world.

They do use the rear seatbelt mount, but in conjunction with the rear seatbelt. So you can still put people in the back. The only drawback is the person in the back seats gets to see a 3" belt next to his face the whole ride But you could always do what i do. I got the Schroth Rallye 3, which allows you to quickly disconnect the harness and tuck it under the seats. So I use the stock belt when driving around town, and pull out the harness for races and fun runs.

I don't know about the Legacy, but the Corbeau CR1 and TRS weigh about 27 lb each, and the stock ones probably weigh mid to high 30's

I'm not sure exactly where you are referring to, but they need to be bolted to some part of the car's frame, or something attached solidly to it. The DOT approved harness attach to factory seatbelt mounts only, while others attach to a roll bar (if you have one) or sometimes the floor with some drilling. It all depends on how he plans on using it, and how safe he wants to be.

Ok, here are some pics of the Schroth Rallye 3 harness installed on my car. The initial installation took about 30 min, and hiding it and pulling it back out takes about 30 seconds. As you can see here, it shares the mounting points for the back seats nicely.

When I am not using it, I put the back part behind the seat (in the trunk) as shown.
