Hey everyone I just recently purchased a Pearl White OZ skirt kit (FS, SS, RS), and an RMR Lip type 1 unpainted. I own a Thunder Grey '02 ES and was wondering what would the cost be to;

1. sand, paint, and install the OZ SS & RS
2. paint and install the RMR Lip type 1 (front bumper needs to be cut down.)

(I am selling the front skirt if anyone is interested )

maybe 250 for the SS

to paint the lip might be 150-200 ... but i.m not sure how hard is it to install..

 

wow that kind of sucks.....the bottom grill on the stock bumper needs to be cut down. If i had to install the SS and RS I would, but not the front lip. Anyone else.....thx jerzepony

 

I thought the entire job would cost me about $450. My friends got their kits installed and painted on their lancer's for $600-$700, for a complete FB, SS, RB. I thought because I only have skirts it would have been a lot cheaper.....Anyone?

 

its almost the same labor to paint a skirt as a bumper. it all comes down to labor.

 

getting the pait is what costs the most...to mix it to match your car perfect.
even with the paint code they still have to tweek the color to make it match the barch that was sprayed on your car.
labor shouldnt take long they spray then dry...spray then dry...and so on
also if there is any type of metallic in the paint it will cost more to make up the batch

 

its been my experience that labor has always out numbered the paint as far a costs go.

 

it might be easier to get it to be painted TG.. the shop i went to said yellow was the hardest. i paid 500 for FB and SS.. its true about the labor.. they gotta sand it down and start from scratch.. that should be like 60 bucks extra...


the quote that i got was 450.. but then he told me they had to refinish the fiberglass cause it was bad. u prolly wont pay more that 350.

oh yeh one more thing... did it cost ur friends that much just to get it painted? and they installed it themselves? i'm not really sure how their gonna install the front lip but that might be the labor that will add up... try to install it. if u cant then get it done by a pro. if ur able to do it then it might just save u a little

 

No that was my friend's final cost of paint and install of his body kit on his lancer, $600-$700.....

I have decided that I am definately just going to have the body shop do all of the work because I am just too lazy right now and have other things occupying my time. I just hope it won't cost more than $500 because I need money for future mods I plan to get within the next two months.....Thanks a lot for the feedback guys!

 

TG, how much? only the lip?

 

well when i got my lip painted it cost about 120, and when i asked about the SS and RS i got quoted for 250, so figure 370 all around.
