Accolade Lancer Grand Touring Kit Question....

Ok, the Accolade kit Lancer Grand Touring - US SPEC GTRS VERSION Has one nice back bumper as seen below, thats so short and sexy ;P Does any1 have this? Does the Back Bumper direct fit on or do you need to mod something or remove reinforcements? Let me know, kit can be found at: http://www.body-kit.com/lancer02srgt.html

That leads to this question: That reinforcement bar is strictly safety right? Do you think it REALLY provides that much more safety? Thing is I like short backs and all the short ones need the bar removed, but I am scared for safety, whats your opinion....

yeh seriously.. does that bar really provide safety? .. i think it might just cause more damage... its like have a spare tire hanging on the back door of an SUV.. the spare will just damage the door and the bumper wouldnt be in contact first. .. it might be safe but it would still cost some major damage. if u got a lot of shyt in the trunk like me u'd be fine.!! .. ehehhheeheheh

i like that bumper. i have a bumper sitting in my deck that imma sell

Think of this in another way. Of course that reinforcement won't hold up in a major accident, but if it's not there when you get an accident inspection (hopefully no one notices) say goodbye to your insurance!

^Not shure what they check for, but I wouldn't chance it. I want the JDM Ralliart bumper, but screw taking any of the reinforcement out.

for a stripe? rofl wut if i have one huge 8" wide strip than 2 little 3/4" stripes on the sides of the big one? lol would that be more to?

that bar only holds up to wut...5-10mph crash...lol might as well get rid of it, but if ur insurance says "because u got rear ended at 60 mph and u didnt have teh 5mph bar, u get no money" i'd burn the building(s) down
