Your car is looking really nice! i am sure you have been asked before, but that bumper is different than ours, right? Is it available and fitable to the US lancer?...and if so will the OZ lip fit to it?? AHHH IM SO CONFUSED!

 

The GDI engine is a Gasoline Direct Injection engine. It's got internal coils for sparks, and apparently produces more power at a lower fuel consumption. The US stock uses a 2.0L GLXi engine (old mitsu technology). A 2L GDI would beat the crap out of a GLXi with the right transmission type.

Thing is, Daimler Chrysler decided to discontinue the GDI in 2003 due to high manufacturing costs. The engine is too damn expensive to build, and also slightly unstable in climates of high sulphur content (Like indonesia).

 

No, it won't fit. You got an extra bar in your chassis which is meant for cars 1.8L and higher. Mine's a 1.5L. And also, the OZ lip won't fit. Or else I would have already ordered the RMR lip...
