Question M3 Mirrors

I just got the M3 mirrors off ebay for $40.
Just wondering if anyone has them on their Lancer and what they think of them?

If you get them to fit, post a pic......I think they fit the Mirage not the Lancer.

Make sure you get the ones made for the US Lancers. Mirages are also called Lancers overseas that is why some people have gotten the wrong parts. The mirrors are universal, what differs are the mounting plates made for the car it's made for. Make sure you get one's marked 12-03. And by the way they fit good!

If you look at the sleeve that comes with the mirrors to make them fit you will notice that they fit the factory holes.....but I dont think there is a way to actually bolt them on. If you figure it out let me know...and post it on the install boards.

Where would you get the 12-03 plates from?

The mounting plates will come with the mirrors. You need 12-03. I think the Mirage mirrors comes with 12-01. If you got the wrong plates you can try and post at the Mirage forums and see if you can trade or buy the right one because I heard some car owners there have mistakenly ordered the mirrors made for our Lancers.

and it's true about the road noise and little bit of visibility problem because they don't stick out as much as the stockers.

i also have them on my car now as well...look great, but yah..like everyone else has said..more cabin noise, and less visibility from the mirrors..
The way i fit mine on was take 6 screws and cut off the heads of all of em, and then tap/screw em in the holes and mount just like the originals were..
