Doe anyone know what you need to do to remove the glass in the sunroof? I was thinking of taking out the glass and replacing it with a cf panel to save some weight

is their really gonna be a big difference betweek the Cf and glass? ... it might be kinda hard unless the CF cover was made exactly for a Lancer... if not then u would have to bold that baby on and would leave ugly holes

i want a sunroof too!! .. wanna trade tops? ... hahaha

No offense but I wouldn't be looking to remove the sunroof and replace with a CF insert. MAYBE remove the slider thing that covers the sunroof on the inside, remove the cloth and make THAT CF. I think that would be kinda kewl .. CF sunroof slider/cover, but I wouldn't replace the entire sunroof with a CF insert.

OR .. if ya got some $$ to drop, why not get a shop to make your car be a convertable .. or have it be a removable hardtop?

I would never sacrifice a sunroof to save like 20 pounds..especially on a car that if you do lose weight, it don't matter that much

lol your right kontra My idea is to remove the glass and the cloth sliding cover.. I like my sunroof so i dont want to completely remove it . It would be made so that it can still be opened. You just wont be able to see out of it.
