New Hood

Poor OZ, never had a chance. So Im coming up on a green arrow. the guy infront of me keeps going straight, which I find odd as it is a T intersection with nothing ahead. So, I think nothing of it as I go to turn and my brakes dont work and I continue to slide after him( mad ice, no salt or plow yet ). I hit him going about 3 mph. Needless to say my hood and left headlight are jacked. He didnt get any damage and the cop claimed noone at fault. But on to the actual post.
Ok so I messed up my hood, left headlight, and maybe more ( cant get the hood up ). I definately need a new hood though. And from what I understand most after-market hoods (carbon-fiber in aprticular) are cheaper then the stock hood. So where do I find one? Iv been running searches on the forums, which is where I came up with the stock costing more. Unfortunetly Im running on dail-up and it takes foreeeeever to search for stuff. Please help.

Oh ya and just to make myself feel better, another accident happen the same way in the same spot right after me the guy pulled off the road.

If you check the for sale forum there is someone in New Orleans selling a black vented hood and evo style grill combo. Might want to check that out.

There are someHoods on sale on Ebay..there are primarily 3 types of CF hoods available...the one that looks like the stock hood but is CF (Call RRM), there is the Vented version that you can buy from cerious performance, then there is the VIS version that comes with CF grill. Either way all 3 look good.
If you need the stock hood I have my silver hood left over from when I installed my CF. I'd be willing to sell it to you for a decent offer. It is Silver.
Hope this helps

you could probably find a stock hood at a junkyard or even on ebay... unless you want a cf one of course

Thanks alot for all ther responces. I kinda want the cf hood. Just because Iv always wanted one insurance is covering the deal. Iv never been in an accident before so Im not sure how the insurance thing goes but if it will make it cheaper on me I might go with the cf. I understand there typically cheaper then the stock from the factory. Again thanks for the info guys Il check the for sale forum. And Il keep that old stock hood in mind, Corona. Im waiting on the estimate then Il go from there.

cheaper fo rhte stock hood?

did you get quote on paint/install as well as just the stock part?

with cf ya don't have to paint it (it looks os nice that way) so it's usually a lot cheaper.
