how did you apply the spray? did you remove the 3rd light or did you paint it still on the wing?

these steps are probably more involved than ya need. its pretty easy.

1. buy some spray-on tint
2. unplug your battery (see step #5)
3. pop open the trunk. open it about half way (this allows to get to the screws easier)
4. unscrew the 2 screws on the bottom of the light and pull it out. there isn't anything but the screws holding it in place.
5. for me, I cut the wires about 3" from the light. Couldn't find a way to "unplug" the light. (this is why i unplugged the battery, i don't like being shocked)
6. take a piece of tape and tape the wires inside the wing to the wing itself (ya don't want these wires going back inside the wing as its a PAIN to get them back out)
7. take light into house and clean very well. remove all dirt and grimy stuff on it. i used windex and let it dry for 15 mins.
8. goto somewhere well ventilated and spray a few coats on the light.
9. wait 10-15 mins
10. re-spray a few coats of tint on the light
11. repeat steps 9 + 10 until its the darkness you want. I sprayed mine about 6 times total
12. when done spraying/color is as dark as ya want, let the light sit for 30-60 mins. You want it to dry well
13. take the light back to the car and get ready to reapply the wires. for me, I soldered them back together. I had someone hold the light while I soldered the wires together. I put a towel under the area which would have solder drip onto it just incase. I didn't want it to ***up my paint.
14. after soldering, wrap a tad of electrical tape over the wires
15. re-screw in the screws
16. re-plug in the battery
17. take pics and show em to us!

You could probably get away without the soldering by just using electrical tape or some of those wire clamp things.

remember to let the car idle for a few mins without reving it after plugging the battery back in.

hope this helps!

How do you think that would look with on a diamond white Lancer? I most likely would have to do the taillights to to match.
