CF Headliner
And if Chris's tutorial is too complicated for ya' or messy then you can always go to www.carbonwerks.com and order one already made using traditional molded layup and now vacumm bagged.
You might have to email me to get one as you can not buy it straight from the site. But by all means at least give it a shot with making one guys. I have talked to Chris a few times on our composite forum and he has really put in some hard work...and the results definitely show!!
Too bad you are not in PA...no wait, toooo bad I am not in Cali! We could hook up and really put out some crazy fabrications.

With all the carbon fiber I am starting to see it makes me wonder...... How hard would it be just to lay sheet over your stock hood to create the "look" of a carbon hood? how much did that one sheet cost you?

its not as simple as you may think it "looks"
Something like a hood you would need to make a mold and create a piece from that, as a whole replacement hood. Laminating a hood will never get that look you want, or at least a good look. Unless you know exactly what you are doing and have the expierence. In the long run buying a hood would be benificial, unless you think you could actually make money off of your creation!
Making molds is my next project and the quality will be unmatch with that!

Ha! Tempting but I am scared ****less of earthquakes. I lived in Florida for 28 years before coming to this snowbound tundra!! I miss Fl. every other day. Both states being major players in the composite industry too.
Anyhow, I am going to look at your car again. See ya'!.

My only concern is putting it back in and it worse comes to worse we might have a guy come out and remove my windshield and we will put it back in and then he can put the windsheild back on the car for about $30. So we'll see....
