how to paint black housing headlights

I've gotten a lot of questions on how to paint the housings of your headlights black, so im just gonna put up this post, it is really easy takes a few hours but looks badass, if u have ne questions pm me, theres a pic of the finished headlight on my profile.

What you need
Flat Black High Temp Paint (Home Depot)
Flat Head Screw Driver
Oven
Headlights
Phillips Head Screw Driver
Socket Wrench (10 mm maybe?? Cant remember)

Removing the Headlight
This part is pretty easy there are 3 screws on the top of the headlight, and a clip type thing behind it. Just undo the 3 screws, and kinda jiggle the light around a little bit to get it off the clip.
Seperating the headlight
This is the scary part, but trust me it works. Preheat the over at 275. Remove anything on the headlight that can be removed, ie bulbs, screws ect. There is a plastic bolt that adjust the headlight aiming, don’t touch that. After everything is removed place wet paper towels, or wet towels on a pan and put one of the headlights in the over for 12 minutes. This will melt the glue. After 12 minutes use an over mit or something cause the lights are hot. Use a flat head screw driver to pry off the clear lens. Just go all around the headlight and theres little tabs that you pry apart. The glue will be gooey and hot so be careful
Painting
Now there are 2 screws that secure the chrome piece you will paint, take out those screws, and take out the chrome piece, be careful some people break that piece while removing. After that is removed there is a clear lens for the parking light, remove that. You can paint this piece any way you want but I just painted the whole thing black. First just apply a light coat and let dry for about 15, this will help the other coats stick better. Then apply a thicker coat, and let that dry for about an hour. Then a third coat, make sure you get all the chrome cause any little piece you miss will be obvious. Pick it up and look underneath. Then let it dry for a couple hours.
Reassembling
Just reassemble the way you dissembled, be careful not to scratch off ne paint. What I did was put the two pieces back in the oven so the glue melts again and you easily reassemble them. After that use a little silicone just to make sure no moisture gets in. After that just bolt them back to your car. If you accidentally changed the aiming on the headlights, there is a post about it. I think its called aligning your headlights (very easy)

For now it's going to Show and Shine. If you can't read the announcement in the how to/install forum and follow its directoins it becomes a pain in the *** for me to work with.
