Subject says it all, I am going to buy a body kit but would like to know approximate costs on installs you guys did....

Name the kit you bought, and how much it cost to Install and Paint and how it came out ( Pictures are VERY welcome on the final job ).

 

a Full paint job on the outside of the car (not under hood and small spots is about a rough 2k, every spot painted is about 4-5k and to paint a body kit may run you about 900. it really depends who you go to and how good of a job you want.

to install the kit MOST people will not install aftermarket kits due to the crapability of them so you will have to do that yourself unless its an OEM Body kit.

then you need hoodpins, may need new holes.

 

i'll make this short since its been asked so many times before (no offense). anywhere from $300-$2000. depends on where you go, and who you know.

 

Most shops will do kits... but for a price. I have the Evo VII kit from Accolade and it was painted and installed for about $500. Its the accolade kit and had perfect fitment, so the shop was pretty happy. They said the PFRP was excellent quality and they hadn't ever done a kit that was so easy to prep/paint/install.

And $500 - $700 probably a normal price for a decent paint job of a body kit.

I got my Evo VII wing painted (just the side pieces) for $120. Plus the guy did a little molding to it to fix some imperfections.

I paid 950 for repair, paint, and install of my Accolade kit - Apex 1 fb and ss, Kenstyle rear. registry and here in the NW forum.

The overall price was about $250 higher due to repairs that needed to be done before the normal prep/paint/install. So about $700 for me.
