RRM eyelids?

anyone with rrm eyelids, did you have to tear out the weather stripping along the turn signal corner of your headlight so that the eyelid would sit on the top of the headlight cuase mine don't fit unless i think i do that. and i want to know if i shoudl take the whole strip out or just cut it flush with where the eyelid ends...this seems really strange but im just looking for an answer so i can get these on without having to take off anythign unnecessary.

Couldn't you lift it out and put the strip over the eyelid?

I didn't have to take mine out. Just get a friend to hold a screwdriver and hold down the flap while you slide in the eyelid
