Whats best... Evo 7/8 CF or FG Spoiler?

Ok, im not asking about the spoiler just the product quality. I know carbon fiber is much lighter than fiber glass, also carbon fiber looks better too. Thou is there any difference besides those things? Will the fiber glass fall off my trunk? or will it break easily? Im gettin a evo7/8 wing but i dont wanna pay 250+ for a carbon, so i rather get a FG wing for $100-150. Is it worth it or not?

This seems more appropriate in show and shine... general is for anything that doesn't fit in the forums listed but still relates to the lancer.

Ok, 2 things to consider, 1) if you have an es, which you do, i highly recommend getting some kind of either body kit or lip kit before the wing, ive seen a few es's w/evo 7 wings and not to bash, but it dont look too good, it makes the car look way awkward. 2)no the FG wont fall off or break unless its done intentionally, then it will act just like cf. cf spoilers are mainly for the looks however it does make it a tad lighter, just not that dramatic.

all in all you should be safe either way and evo 7/8 are both nice imo. i have a fg evo 7 wing and ive had no problems w/it at all

yes get a kit first .. it wont look good if u out the spoiler first

either way ur gonna be spending the same amount b/c u have to paint the FG which will add up to the cost of the CF spoiler and u would have to pay to get the CF spoiler legs painted.

it all depends on what you like. carbon fiber and fiberglass both look good. it just depends on the look your are trying to acheive. whatever you do, just make sure you buy the product from a respectable/known place. that way you wont have any problems with quality. if done right, both are strong/sturdy. dont even worry about that.

i myself have a fiberglass evo7 wing. i'm more than happy with it. either way, you cant go wrong.

for painting wise, i was going to paint it myself (to save money), my car is silver so i think it'll look nice. Also for those who mentioned body kit, thats 500+... i dont wanna spend that much on a kit yet, honestly im not really impressed on getting a kit anytime soon. The only one worth buying is the evo7 one i saw a member have and that was baaaadd asssss! Still, im doing phase's of setting up my car, and the kit is way down the line. Also Ive seen evo 7/8 wings on kit-less lancers and it didnt look bad to me at all. I actually thought it made the car look better than stock.
