Lightbulb megan racing short shifter (PICS)

Just thought I'd share pics of the Megan Racing Short Shifter. This is for an evo but totally fits an OZ/LS/ES.

link

Short Shifter came with the shifter and knob. Nothing else (no bushins). Nothing on the OZ/LS/ES needs to be modified to make this fit; the install is easy. remove the old one, pop the bushings off, grease em, pop on the new one and install.

Short shifter product review

I don't have any ideas on where to get new (non-stock) bushings, please post if you do.

how much did you get that for? does it reduce the long throw that the lancers have dramatically?

check out link for a shortshifter. he's the guy i got mine from. I paid about 35 bucks.

I used the stock bushings. They work great on the new shifter. I don't know where to get new ones, metal ones or aftermarket ones. Lemme know if you find out.

it does reduce the throw. not only is it shorter from top to bottom, but the throws are also shorter. i don't miss gears while shifting now.

35 dollars.. nice.. 100 dollars cheaper than the B&M at RRM.. dont get me wrong i want to support RRM but with little things like a short shifter i don't wanna spend over 150 (w/ bushings/shipping/insurance) thanks for the update on a good product

Digdat - did you buy a new shift knob or keep the stock one once you got the SS?

Cool, can't beat that for the $$.

So that is the shift knob that comes with it? Does the top of the knob has a circular "recess" to it or is that just the pics?

I kept the same knob which came with the shifter. Its a bit smaller and I like it being round. only problem is, when its cold outside, the knob is cold. Thats a sad downfall too :P

The shift knob is pretty round its not recessed at all. the pics make it look like that but its not. I believe its a two piece, one outer piece and one inner with threading.

I'd be surprised if it fit the LS, considering it only came in automatic

i think www.lightingmotorsports.com or something like that has bushings...you got to order the shifter bushings for the eclipse...they work fine for the lancer...thats where i got mine from and it came out to be like $14 shipped...the short shifter with the energy suspension bushigns is really nice

digdat, the link you provided for the megan racing short shifter, the price listed on the site is $50.00. did they raise the price from 33.00?
