This is my 03 4g69 turbo swapped lancer OZ, took a while to get here after i had rolled my 2004 ralliart and totalled it the next day i decided to buy this 03 and start pulling the motor from my wrecked RA.

 

4g69 tranny went,lost 4th gear and i had a spare 4g94 trans so i swapped the gears (gives me shorter 4th and 5th gears now) first time I put the transmission on and started the car it ran awesome! the only problem was i heard a really loud banging sound...thought it was something wrong inside the trans so i pulled it all out and apart again, reassembled and put it back on..same noise. I then noticed the oil pan was pushed in a little bit s i took it off and noticed metal inside was being hit by the rod bolts.. changed the pan and fixed the problem..also changed the throw out bearing, pressure plate, clutch disc all with clutchmaster FX parts..car wont go into gear so its now sitting at the shop

 

In the mean time Im just collecting parts ive been finding for good deals such as this carbon trunk for $75 and this carbon hood for $75 (hood is sitting on my girls 4694 turbo :P

 

Forgot to mention, my car has an 04 Ralliart rear bumper an lip as well as tail lights i had to mod the trunk lights to fit as the license plate lights

 

So this is why i had to change the pressure plate and while i was in there i changed the rest but like i said before... not shifting into gear sorting that out lol

 

5-lug 4 disc RA swap No ABS though feels like it stops better without it anyways

 

when she gets back ill throw on these tein lowering springs and some KYB eccels until i can grab some D2 coilovers

 

THe white ralliart which i had put all my time into, unfortunately became my donor car after a roll over.

 

This is what I started with, an Oz i had bought from a dealer right after the accident for $1,340

 

those tails dont even fit correctly they are meant for a 04-06 like bumper lol.... have u looked for a proper bumper aka one meant for a 02-03 for the car ? wrecking yards are a good source for them... i had some nice tyc tails for my oz from a junk yard few years ago

 

I very much realize they don't fit correctly, I like the way they look on it with the 04 bumper. I have 03 rear bumpers and tails I just don't want that look. Also it's not because of the bumper and tail lights used that it looks that way it's due to not using my 04 RA trunk with it but instead using an evo 8/9 carbon fiber shaved trunk.
