Problems fitting RRM grill and VIS hood
Problems fitting RRM grill and VIS hood
i just bought a rrm carbon-fiber grill and was trying to put it on my vis hood and it seems that the grill doesnt fit with the hood. the top of the grill sits pretty good on the hood but on the sides of the grill there is like about a 1-2cm space between the hood and the grill.. I was just wondering if anyone else out there has a rrm grill on a vis hood and if they had the same problem with it?
That SUCKS. ive got the Cerious performance cf hood and the stock grill works fine with it. CP is located in NY so maybe give them a call and they can make a cf grill for you're hood.. give it a try. you dyno you're lancer yet? what's it running?
aight maybe ill check cp out and see what they have.... and yeah i dynoed it... it ran 222whp at 9psi, which is what it is staying at for a while until i decide to work my bottom end..
I'm sorry for hi-jacking but 222whp
HOLY ****.. can you please post some pictures of you're car when you have time? that is amazing. You mind telling us how much the RIPP supercharger ran you? maybe its cheaper than RRM's turbo. thanks man

i believe that Ripp is going to be offering the kit for a little bit less that RRM has their turbo kit set at. Not exactly sure what the price is going to be somewhere around 3500-4000 with everything that i have in my car and i will post some pics as soon as i can figure out how to post them on here because every time i try to put one of the pics in i get this your picture is to big bull **** and im not really sure how to fix that. but once i can get them on the site u will all see them.
back on topic i have heard of that hapening before, if you look at the vis hood where the grill mounts for alittle bit and look at the grill you will see that there are 2 spots off the grill that need to removed if you look for pickleknock on here and PM him im sure he can walk you through it.

hey, looks like im here to save the day... as for putting that gril onto the hood, its pretty easy. if you have a dremel or a small jig, it will makes things much easier. i will post a pic to help you. you basically have to cut off the stock mounts on the grill and drill new holes...
keep in mind, this isnt an exact process... its going to take some cleverness, and use of artistic licensing. but not too much. take you time with cutting, just cut off a small amount, fit it, cut, fit, cut, fit, until its just right, then drill holes where needs, and zip tie it. mine is on there solid as a rock and you cant see the ties.
