Aftermarket Steering Wheel

Alright..I have seen plenty of EVO's out now with aftermarket steering wheels. Even the Blue RRM (Congrats on the numbers in the article by the way) EVO featured in the latest Sport Compact Car had one....so my question is is there a hub that will fit the Lancer? Or do EVO's and Lancers use different steering hub. I would have to guess they don't as people have swapped steering wheels.

So any one know where to order a hub? Are they universal or brand specific..(ie. have to have Sparco hub for Sparco wheel...)

Any info appreciated...

WHen i bought a steering wheel i was told to buy a hub. It was a momo steering wheel so i needed a momo hub for my car. I had to sell it because the steering wheel had no airbag.

the loss of the airbag makes your car a hell of a lot lighter though

do you need an air bag if you have the harness?? Because that thing is holding you in the seat so well youdont really gert close to the dash. Just wondering if it would protect you any more in that case.

it is illegal to remove your airbags...also if your insurance finds out...they will cancell your policy or jack your rates up really high

hmmm... i don't want the airbag...and don't care about insurance. Will an EVO adaptor hub work on a Lancer or is there even such a thing?

EVO VIII swap is straight over, no aditional junk needed. If you go with an aftermarket one you will need a hub. MOMO has a specific one for the lancer, don't know if sparco does tho.

ok so here's the deal. called momo themselves, they said no. no such thing is available according to them. i asked it they would be able to sell the evo8 steering wheel, and again no. they said its specifically made in a joint effort through mitsu and themselves, so basically the only place to get it is the dealer. so thats the news.

Well crap...

I hate going through dealerships... maybe its because they try and rip me off half the time...
