WRONG!!!

It's called Amethyst Black Pearl (AKA Labrador Black). It is a deep blueish purple pearl... see for yourself

Uhh...yhea...that's why the black cars look so cool, and all those people back in the day had trouble color matching grills and eyelids.

thats what my RA looked like under sunlight

 

thats what sucks about getting body work done, they cant match the colors right.

 

I noticed this on my black OZ when I was waxing it and the sun hit it just right.
Freaked me out at first seeing the purplish, blue and green coloring to make up the black color.

 

Not really, within the vin number and also in the engine bay of the car is the paint code. They take the paint code and pretty much get paint to match it based on that (not based on what color the car looks). So if u get bodywork done, the paint WILL match

 

wow there are ppl out there who didnt know it was black but labrador black? it says it right on the sticker when u buy them... and the codes bring up lab black

 

some people just asume black has only one form

 

The car looks BLACK black... until any bright source of light hits it. I never taken a close look @ the paint of the black ralliart or OZ which is why i was surprised.

 

My Tarmac Black Evo is exactly the same. It looks completely black, but after I put good wax on it and rolled it out into the Florida sun, I noticed the blue/purple/green flecks! When I use Maguirs NXT wax it seems to sheen more brilliantly.

 

I just saw a Black OZ driving beside me - wish mine was black kinda

 

I might paint my car this summer... If i do it's gonna be lamborghini black (the blackest black you will ever see, doesnt have any pearl or anything in it).

 

black is awesome kareem but keepking it clean and scratch free is a big pain in the ***
