I installed my ebay bought ralliart oil cap... it didn't fit snug so i played with the metal clips, bent them a little now it fits good... anyone else buy these and have problems with them? no probs?

 

I used to have it, but because it wasn't snug, it popped off and I drove for a day spilling hot oil and gunk all over my valve cover and engine bay. Not pretty, and smelly too. You could keep it on, but I'd keep an eye on it once in a while to make sure it's still on tight.

 

okay now you've got me freaked... i've had that happen when jiffy lube didn't put on my cap on my old corolla... i was pissed... maybe if i changed the metal tabs off the old one.. put it on the new one...

 

anyone else have any horror stories on this ???

there are rarely genuine ralliart products on ebay.

 

hmm.. maybe you should just put it on when in shows or when showing off the car or something but then again its up to you. btw where did you get your hoses from?
