It can be bent ( a little bit ) but I really doubt it can be shaped to anything....When I destroyed my old CF trunk the CF sheet that makes up the top part of the trunk was really thin but couldn't be shaped to anything. The resin that they use must strengthen it so it keeps just that shape......I may be wrong here so if I am can someone please explain it better than that

I know of two sites that can give you info and you can order supplies from...one is www.fibreglast.com and the other is www.uscomposites.com

They sell various sheets of carbon fiber fabric, but you have to buy the resin, mold it and harden it yourself. But thats what you would probably want if you were going to make any overlays or replacement pieces. Fibreglast also has a message board where you can learn to lay carbon fiber and make custom pieces.

beware

fiberglass is easier to work with than CF the best advice i can give you is to be not touch the weave cause it can easily get out of wack and ruin the pattern while you're pouring or brushing on the resin i ordered from uscomposites cause their in FL and i'm in GA which equals 1 day shipping time but i'll post pics of some of the crap i've made i'm doing a CF radio bezel now i've gotta dremel it down but i may have some pics of it after i lay the cf on it tomorrow
