Show & Shine 101
definately do HIN.. i've been entering my lancer into shows since chicago's first import rev in '02... the shows are a lot of fun and it always feels good to get props for ur ride...
as for tips on what to do to prep ur car.. wash it.. lol.. make everything mad shiny and the lighting will do the rest.. trust me on that one.. car show lighting.. especially at HIN.. it does wonders..

i'll be at HIN this year but just as a spectator due to the fact that my ride got broken into.. but PM or IM me u got anymore q's..

yeah as far as not driving your car .. i drive my car e' day but i take a day off before shows and spend the whole day drinking and cleaning (not necessarily in that order) but my tip to add is keep a clean engine bay a turbo car w/ a dirty *** engine may be more impressive but a stock engine thats clean would get more points. i'll be at HIN in atlanta next month and using some of these tips to clean my ride
