how could i customize the piece that goes around my stereo and a/c controls.. i'm planning on relocating my a/c controls.. what i eventually wanna do is fit a larger stereo deck in my car (by larger i mean a deck which has a screen flushed into it) .. so how could i customize this piece.. anyone know?

 

get some fiber glass, and make a mold of what the old piece looks like, then change the mold to how u want it. or go to a good stereo shop that does custom instalation and either have them do it or ask them how u should do it. dont be afraid to ask your local audio shop for advice or help.

 

i was thinking of doing the same thing u are.

i got a 5.6" screen, i was gonna move my a/c controls in front of the passenger, my headunit to the lower cubby hole and just fiberglass mold the center console thingie to have a TV in it and everything else just bleh. but i got lazy maybe ill goto a junkyard and get the spare parts i need and try it out, a lil trial-n-error kidna thing...dont wanna mess up the good one

 

i wanna relocate my ac controls, like put 3 gauges there and then move the ac controls down below the cd player in that little cubby hole, how would i do that?

 

thats what i'm doing... u have to get the jdm evo VIII a/c controls (very hard to find) and a radio relocator kit..... after u got all that u have to plug and play a lil' bit...

its actually molded.. it goes in deep.. like the navigation systems you see in the lexus's.. the screen is much bigger.. again the pix dont give much justice..

hey dragon.. all u need to move ur head unit down there into the cubby hole is a radio relocation kit.. u can get them directly from ur dealer..

i was gona move my a/c controls awhile ago.. but everyone said it would be near impossible to do.. because we have the manuel a/c controls. the jdm ones have electronic ones in em. i wanted to flush mount my 7.2" tv in there
